Evening Water Aerobics

Debbie Wolchek has been teaching water aerobics at the Grand Valley Recreation Center since 2007. She was certified through a training program out of Longmont, Colorado. Her workouts include music spanning several decades (from the 40s to the present), and uses pool dumbbells and noodles as part of the 60-minute workout.
Here are just a few benefits of Water Aerobics:
Low to no impact on joints; excellent for cardiovascular stamina; strength training; burns body fat; increases circulation; rehabilitation for muscles and joints; reduce stress; sleep better at night; water creates a “built-in” resistance that increases the intensity of your workout and challenges muscles that are harder to engage on land; move your body through a wider range of motion due to less gravity, which improves flexibility; water workouts reduces the pressure on your back and knees (perfect for pregnant women); and it’s also a great opportunity to meet new people! The class is fun for all ages!

You will need to wear a bathing suit and bring your own towel.
